Trump Club

The 2020 election is still well over two years away, but supporters of President Donald Trump are wasting no time getting ready for what could be a close re-election race.

Trump Clubs are places where the president’s supporters get together to start building momentum. Duval’s Trump Club will be holding its inaugural meeting this Saturday.

Medic

Have you ever had a headache and just needed a couple of aspirin? Or maybe you went to the gym and forgot your headphones, or a hair band, maybe?

A Jacksonville company that was started two years ago is offering vending machines with these types of items. Three local pharmacists started the company called Medic and the machines are available at several locations in Jacksonville.

Avant Events

Avant is launching a quarterly film series at Sun-Ray Cinema beginning at 7:00 p.m. on March 21. It starts with the reissue of the Monterey Pop Festival documentary, celebrating 50 years since the festival happened. Every quarter another music related movie will be screened..

Avant is also hosting an educational program during the April 4 downtown Art Walk in the downtown library. It'll be a program focusing on hip-hop with Paten Locke and Willie Evans, Jr.

Cole Pepper

It was a wild weekend of “March Madness.” For the first time a 16 seed beat a number one seed at the University of Maryland. Baltimore County knocked off overall #1 seed Virginia. Florida State is in the Sweet 16 after beating Xavier on Sunday.

The Jaguars made a good haul in free agency and Tiger Woods didn’t win but performed well for the second week in a row, this time at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and finished fifth. Rory McIIory got the win.
