Sexual Assault Awareness Week
April has been designated Sexual Assault Awareness Month since 2001. In 2010, President Barack Obama issued a proclamation making it official. President Donald Trump has also adhered to the proclamation since taking office.
Across the country, organizations are doing what they can to raise awareness and bring assistance to those who’ve been targeted by sexual assault.
Public Art Week
This week marks Public Art Week in Jacksonville. It’s a week of showing off the city’s growing collection of public art and explaining its importance.
This year’s theme is Building a Better Community.
