- Local political guru Susie Wiles has been named campaign chair for the Ron DeSantis campaign for Governor.
- The Georgia nuclear power plant project Plant Vogle will continue despite objections by JEA that it is still obligated to continue with its share of the project after massive cost overruns.
- The Army Corp of Engineers was awarded a $210 million contract for the second phrase of the dredging project in the St. Johns River.
- A lawsuit challenging Jacksonville City Councilman Terrance Freeman’s eligibility to hold his seat was dismissed.
Returning to the block party, we spoke to three business people from Five Points, Gunnell Humphries, owner of Edge City, Lindsey Hamilton with Sun-Ray Cinema and Kelly Pickard, co-owner of Alewife and President of the Five Points Merchants Association (35:49).
We spoke with HGTV’s John Gidding, who is hosting the new version of Trading Spaces on the network. He’s in Jacksonville this weekend for The Home and Patio Show.
