Ron DeSantis emerged from a machine recount Thursday all but certain to become Florida’s next governor while the U.S. Senate and Agriculture Commissioner races moved onto hand recounts.

DeSantis, a Republican, maintained a nearly 34,000 vote lead over his rival, Democrat Andrew Gillum.

The Florida recount led our Weekly Roundtable discussion with panelists:

Other discussion topics included JEA interim CEO Aaron Zahn scoring the lowest on several measures among the candidates applying to become JEA’s next CEO.
