5/8/19: Tariffs; 'Disposable;' Cultural Council

For months, investors and companies had been lulled into a sense of security that the world’s two largest economies appeared to be getting closer to a deal to resolve their battle over trade. 

That calm was shattered this week when the Trump administration threatened to impose a new round of tariffs on hundreds of billions of dollars of Chinese products.

Tariffs are having a real impact on locally owned businesses here in Florida. Two First Coast CEO’s,  David Williams, Owner and President, Power & Pumps and All Prime Pumps; and Bob Grubba, President and CEO of Broadway Limited Imports, Inc., joined us for a closer look.

Nicole Saunders is a local prosecutor who balances life in the legal field with a budding career as an author. We spoke to her about her book Disposable, which looks at the lengths parents will go to in order to create the perfect family.
