Representative Tracie Davis

State Representative Tracie Davis is in her second term representing the 13th District. On Tuesday, July 2, at 7:30 p.m. she is hosting her second town hall meeting since the Florida Legislature ended its session in the first week of May.

<--break-><--break->The town halls are designed to inform constituents on the ressults of the 2019 legislative session. Davis is covering issues that include new laws regarding the use of medical marijuana, charter school expansion, and the Amendment 4 ballot initiative. The July 2 meeting is being held at the Bradham-Brooks Library. More information here.  Rep. Davis joined us with information on the topics that will be discussed at the town hall.

Preserving Fish Island

The North Florida Land Trust has been working to preserve Fish Island, a 57-acre property located on the Intracostal Waterway adjacent to the 312 bridge on Anastasia island. On July 23, the Governors Cabinet will meet in Tallahassee to decide if the state will accept Fish Island into the Florida Forever Program. Jim McCarthy, president of North Florida Land Trust, joined us with more.
