Downtown Jacksonville’s Clara White Mission put out an emergency call to action funding appeal last week. It’s needed to avoid drastic service cuts. Jacksonville City Councilwoman Ju’Coby Pittman runs the organization, and joined us with more.

Supermarkets and Single Use Plastics

A new report from Greenpeace called Packaging the Planet ranks the nation’s largest grocery chains on their efforts to eliminate single use plastics. David Pinsky, who co-authored the report and is a Greenpeace Oceans Campaigner, joined us for a closer look.

Short Attention Span Theatre Festival

The Short Attention Span Theatre Festival takes over the downtown Five and Dime Theatre this weekend with a special treat – a performance by Poet, Playwright, and Journalist Al Letson.  He is the host of Reveal, which airs Saturday's at 3 p.m. on 89.9 FM.

Letson joined us for a preview, along with Founding Member of The 5 & Dime, Evan Gould.
