It’s now legal in Florida to grow a vegetable garden in your front yard. The new law is seen as a victory for urban gardeners and food activists working to fight hunger and food insecurity.
Nathan Ballentine, aka “The Man in Overalls,” a Jacksonville-based travelling urban farmer, entrepreneur, educator, and community organizer; and Michael Neff of Feeding Northeast Florida, joined us for a closer look. They also had tips on how to grow your own front yard vegetable garden.
Allergies

First Coast Connect Book Club
Stacey Goldring joined us with this month’s First Coast Connect Book Club selections - which will make you want to get outside and explore the Sunshine State’s flora and fauna.
