Deep Waters
Corporate defense attorney Rob Bilott started out his career at a prominent Cincinnati law firm by defending chemical companies. But all that changed when a West Virginia farmer asked for his help, as hundreds of cows were dying on his property.
Eventually, Bilott switched sides, and spent twenty years taking on DuPont. First, for the pollution to the farm; then, to expose contamination that affected an entire town; and eventually, to hold the chemical industry accountable for dangerous chemicals called PFOA’s.
He joined us to discuss his work, his book, Exposure: Poisoned Water, Corporate Greed, and One Lawyer's Twenty-Year Battle against DuPont, and the film Dark Waters, which is based on both.
