International Women's Day is Thursday, March 5. It will be celebrated around the world and here in Jacksonville. Basma Alawee of the Florida Immigrant Coalition was in Studio 5 with a preview. The event will take place Sunday, March 8, at 2 p.m. at Levant at 9041 Southside Blvd. Alawee has also been nominated to be one of the Athena 40 women in the world who are making change. She will be in London in the coming month.
