As President Donald Trump extends the national stay-at-home recommendations through April 30, hospitals are bracing for the potential surge in patients infected by the virus. Several local hospitals will soon have rapid Coronavirus testing technology. Marko Predic, Infection Preventionist at UF Health Jacksonville, joined us with more information.

At-Home Learning
WJCT Television has launched At-Home Learning, a series of distance learning opportunities that can be accessed on WJCT TV channel 7.1. and Comcast 8 & 440). This project is in partnership with Duval County Public schools. Executive Director of Professional Development with the Duval County Public Schools, Paula Renfro and WJCT’s Circe LeNoble gave us more details on the curriculum-related programming.
Grocery Store Employees
Grocery store workers have dealt with a flood of shoppers as they stock up on supplies. As they restock and interact with customers, many workers worry they may have been exposed to coronavirus. An anonymous Publix employee from our area shared his story.
