On Friday’s episode of First Coast Connect with Melissa Ross, our Media Roundtable discussed some of the stories impacting Northeast Florida this week. 

The topics that our panel of journalists and contributors discussed included: 

• How to go about reopening Florida after the COVID-19 shutdown. 

• Publix will purchase fresh produce and milk from farmers who have been hurt by the pandemic. 

• JEA was served with a subpoena for records surrounding its failed attempt at a sale. 

• Duval Public Schools’ attorneys announced they won’t charge the school board for the legal fees from their successful effort to get a half-cent sales tax referendum on the ballot. 

• The Jaguars selected former Florida cornerback CJ Henderson during the virtual NFL Draft

Local coffee roaster Bold Bean has recently started offering virtual classes on how to roast a perfect cup of coffee. They are also streaming conversations on Instagram Live.
