- The non-profit “Blessings in a Backpack” received support from Buffalo Bills fans, who raised about $480,000 by 17,000 donors in honor of injured Baltimore Raven QB Lamar Jackson’s favorite charity.
- Generation Wow, a local organization that empowers and elevates women, will be hosting a virtual two hour Zoom mentorship seminar for high school women to build their self esteem and leadership skills next week. They will also debut their WOW Mentee/Mentor program, “Connect with WOW,” which pairs young women up with a WOW mentor.
- WJCT Contributor and Board Member, Charles Griggs won the coveted “Golden Typewriter" award in Monday’s media golf competition at TPC Sawgrass, home of THE PLAYERS.
- Thank you to Folio Weekly readers for choosing Melissa as “Best Radio Show Journalist” and First Coast Connect as “Best Local Radio Show” in the magazine's 2020 “Best of JAX” awards.
