A new mass COVID-19 vaccination center is scheduled to open up in Jacksonville’s Northside in March.

Rep. Al Lawson (D-FL5), joined us with more information on the new federal vaccination center that will be opening at the Gateway Town Center.

Knowledge 4 College

College costs are skyrocketing, as the Biden administration is considering cancelling some student debt. Author Michele Larson joined us to share some advice on how to pay for college from her new book, Knowledge 4 College.

Jacksonville Community Action

On Saturday at Jacksonville’s City Hall, community organizations rallied, calling on city leaders to speak out against the HB1/SB484 legislation proposed by Gov. Ron DeSantis, which would increase the penalties for violent protests in Florida. Michael Sampson of Jacksonville Community Action, one of the groups involved, joined us for a closer look.

WJCT-TV is changing its name to Jax PBS. WJCT Public Media’s CEO, David McGowan, joined us to explain why.

Other channels broadcast and distributed by WJCT Public Media will change to Jax PBS More!, Jax PBS Kids, Jax PBS WORLD channel, and Jax PBS Create.
