Jacksonville groups continue their efforts to get local schools renamed, as a Robert E. Lee High School teacher told News4Jax that she was instructed by administrators to remove a “Black Lives Matter” flag from her classroom.

The news comes as a video clip of various speakers at a recent hearing on a proposed name change at Lee High School went viral. Ben Frazier, head of the Northside Coalition of Jacksonville and Wells Todd of Take ‘em Down Jax joined us for a closer look at the controversy.

Equal Pay Day

Tuesday, March 23 was Equal Pay Day. The day signified how far into the new year the average woman must work to be paid what the average man was paid the previous year.  Barbara Ritterthe dean of Davis College of Business and Executive Director of Career Services at Jacksonville University; and Patricia DeWitt, president of the American Association of University for Women (AAUW) of Florida joined us.
