Citing her continued criticism of former President Donald Trump, House Republicans have removed Rep. Liz Cheney of Wyoming as Conference Chair.

University of North Florida Political Science Professor Sean Freeder joined us with his thoughts on what Chaney's ouster might mean for the future of the GOP.

Hemp

There are signs that hemp is becoming an increasingly popular product, with the potential to supercharge Florida’s economy. However, hemp producers are in need of financing, as there are also special rules for this product. Stew Baker, Managing Director at Florida Capital Bank (Florida's hemp bank) spoke to us with his thoughts.

Move ONE Million

May is Mental Health Awareness Month and Chris Powell, celebrity trainer and international fitness star of ABC’s Extreme Weight Loss, is in town this week to officially launch his new nonprofit, Move ONE Million. Its aim is to help combat depression, anxiety, and obesity through movement. Powell joined us to tell us more about it.

Cultural Council Auction

In celebration of the NFL Draft and the Jaguars' selection of the first overall pick, the team joined together with the Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville to commission one-of-a-kind painted and autographed footballs commemorating the occasion.  They are up for auction now. Diana Donovan is Executive Director at the Cultural Council, and spoke to us about the project and how you can score one.
