Reshaping Jax's Riverfront; Moms Demand Action; Total Care Clinic; Catty Shack

The Jacksonville Jaguars unveiled their development plans for Downtown’s riverfront on Thursday.

Jacksonville developer Steve Atkins also unveiled his $1.1 billion plan for Riverfront Jacksonville, a planned mega-development for the Northbank, as well, this week.  David Bauerlein of the Florida Times-Union joined us with more.

Gun Violence 

This weekend advocates looking to reduce gun violence in America are set to participate in a campaign called Wear Orange Weekend.  We spoke with Katie Hathaway and Crystal Turner, both with the local chapter of Moms Demand Action, which is organizing it.  

Total Care Clinic

A new hospital-based community project at UF Health will focus on improving the health and well-being of the community’s most vulnerable patients.  This project will be based out of UF Health Jacksonville’s Total Care ClinicDr. Ross Jones, head of the clinic, and Ann-Marie Knight, VP of Community Engagement at UF Health Jax, joined us with details.  

Catty Shack

Catty Shack Ranch is open this summer, so you can get a rare chance to see the prized big cats up close. Owner Curt LoGiudice joined us with an update on what to expect when you visit.
