Masking In Northeast Fla. Schools; Fizzies and Fare; Local Sports; DJ Brooks Colleton

Leon County circuit judge sided with a group of parents Friday in a high-profile lawsuit challenging Gov. Ron DeSeantis’ July 30 executive order banning student mask mandates in public schools.

Monday is the first day that Nassau County School District is requiring universal masking for students and staff.  The decision comes as the state continues to battle rising COVID-19 cases.

Filing attorney Charles R. Gallagher of Gallagher & Associates Law Firm in St. Petersburg joined us  with more on the ruling and what it means for the First Coast.

An anonymous employee from St. Johns County School District expressed his frustrations with his district’s handling of the virus.

The Jacksonville couple behind Sweet Pete’s Candy launch a new venture this Friday. Fizzies and Fare is part soda pop shot, part ice cream parlor, and part restaurant.
