Florida Sees a Positive Turn; Riverfront Activation; Sports Update; Sober September

Florida appears to be finally turning a corner in the coronavirus suge that’s been ravaging the state. 

While infection rates are trending down, holiday weekends and students returning to college campuses could be a setback. Epidemiologists say Florida has taught the nation important lessons as the highly transmissible delta variant of the virus accounts for nearly all new cases.

Last week, the local Riverfront Parks Now coalition endorsed the Jessie Ball duPont Fund’s recently unveiled Esplanade Plan for the publicly owned Shipyards and Metropolitan Park along the Northbank of the St. Johns River.
