Downtown Jacksonville’s Main Street Bridge will be closed weeknights for the next two weeks.
The Florida Department of Transportation says traffic will be blocked from 6:30 p.m. until 6 a.m. Monday night through Friday night and again next week from Monday night through Thursday night.
The closures will allow crews to continue making improvements to the mechanical, electrical and structural systems.
Detour signs will direct vehicles and pedestrians to the Acosta Bridge. Boaters won’t be affected.
The $10.5 million dollar improvement project is expected to be completed later this fall.
