Palmetto Street at the Mathews Bridge Expressway downtown will be closed to traffic starting Thursday while Florida Department of Transportation crews clean and paint the overpass.
FDOT expects the road to remain closed until the end of July, depending on the weather.
The work is part of the $7.5 million Mathews Bridge rehabilitation project that’s expected to be completed late next year.
