Two Bolles students that were expelled last week have been charged as juveniles with conspiracy to make, possess, place or discharge a destructive device.

That's according to our News4Jax partner, which reported the two students - ages 15 and 17 - were boarding students from Port St. Lucie and Houston.

Prosecutors revealed one of the students was using the dark web to research how to make napalm, according to News4Jax. Napalm is a fuel-gel mixture for firebombs.

In a letter to parents, Bolles President Tyler Hodges wrote that the two boys had made threatening statements at or about the school but stressed there were no weapons of any type at the campus.

"The boys will not be returning to our community.  We are cooperating fully with law enforcement. Our security personnel have been aware and involved from the beginning and will continue to be vigilant on each of our campuses," Hodges wrote.

News4Jax reported that although the students have been charged as juveniles, it will be up to the state attorney to decide whether they should be prosecuted as adults.
