Expect Longer Lines At JAX Airport This Holiday Weekend

Folks planning to fly out of Jacksonville this holiday weekend need to give themselves extra time to get through the airport.

The Jacksonville International Airport expects to see a large influx of passengers starting Friday and going through Tuesday, due to Memorial Day and large events like the Jacksonville Jazz Fest.

Air travelers are urged to arrive at least two hours before their flight to find parking, check their bags and go through security.

Airport spokesman John Finotti said the busiest times for the airport flights will be between 5  - 7 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. - noon.
