Grand Rapids, Mich. will be added to the list of cities with nonstop service from Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) starting in October.
JAX airport announced announced Wednesday that Allegiant Airlines will begin nonstop service on Friday, October 4.
Flights will depart from Jacksonville at 11:14 a.m. on Mondays and Fridays, arriving at Gerald R. Ford International Airport (GRR) at approximately 1:31 p.m.
Flights from GRR will depart at 8:15 a.m. on Mondays and Fridays, and arrive at JAX at approximately 10:29 a.m.
“Nonstop service to Grand Rapids will make it easy for Midwest travelers to see all that Northeast Florida has to offer," JAA CEO Mark VanLoh said in an email to WJCT News. “It also means that our community will have direct access to one of Michigan's most beautiful cities," he added.
Fares were not announced but a check of Allegiant’s website Wednesday afternoon showed an introductory offer of $98 for a round trip ticket on October 4 with taxes, carrier fees and government fees included.
