Motorists that use San Juan Avenue near Roosevelt Boulevard will be facing a detour starting on Wednesday, July 24.
The Florida Department of Transportation plans to close the road in the area starting at 5 a.m. that day to begin construction on the railroad crossing surface.
Construction is expected to keep the road closed in the area until Tuesday, August 6. That reopening date could be shortened or lengthened if there are weather or other unforeseen delays.
During the closure, traffic will be detoured via Blanding Boulevard, Timuquana Road and U.S. 17.
