A third lane is being added to the east beltway of Interstate-295 between State Road 9B and Butler Boulevard.
Look for traffic shifts, lane striping and overnight detours there over the next several weeks.
The first lane striping is expected to happen on southbound I-295 overnight on Sunday.
The Florida Department of Transportation said the $160 million project will help reduce congestion in Northeast Florida.
The added lane is expected to be complete before the holiday shopping season.
