All visitation at the Duval County Jail was temporarily halted after a section of glass attached to the front of the building broke Thursday night.
The public reception area and sidewalk between the Pre-Trial Detention Facility and Police Memorial Building were also closed off due to safety concerns.
JSO announced Friday afternoon that the necessary repairs have been completed and all areas are once again open.

Strong winds swept through the Downtown area Thursday night, although JSO did not say whether the severe weather played a role in the glass breaking.
