Publix says it will begin installing plexiglass barriers at its cash registers to protect workers and customers from the coronavirus.
The Lakeland-based grocery chain says all of its stores should have the barriers installed within the next 2-weeks.
Kroger and Walmart are also installing the so-called “sneeze guards.”

Supermarkets are seeing their business soar as more people are staying in and cooking their own meals.
Publix has more than 12-hundred locations in 7-Southeastern states.
