The city of St. Augustine has set up aweb form where local business owners can order face masks for their employees.

Businesses that want to take advantage of the program will need to place a minimum order of 100 masks at a cost of 50 cents each.

“With the city’s ability to purchase face masks in large, bulk quantities, we can offer an affordable option as these businesses get back on their feet,” said City Manager John Regan in an email to WJCT News.

Upon receiving the order, the city will respond to the request within two business days to take payment over the phone and coordinate a pick-up time.

The city ordered 125,000 masks. If that turns out not to be enough, city officials will consider placing an additional order.

“We wanted to be able to provide assistance that would help lessen the financial burden of some of the safety recommendations set forth by CDC and OSHA as part of the re-opening strategy,” Reagan said.

Pick-up times will be scheduled during normal business hours Monday through Friday.
