St. Augustine Shutting Down City Hall To Public To Slow COVID-19 Spread

The city of St. Augustine announced Tuesday that effective Thursday, July 16, its City Hall will be closed to the public in an effort to slow the spread of the coronavirus.

However, the city says services will remain operational online and via telephone, as follows:  

  • Customer Service/Utility Billing:  The Customer Service office, located at 50 Bridge St., will continue to serve the public by taking payments and answering questions over the phone, via email and via the payment drop box.  The drive-thru window will remain open during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Call the Customer Service Department at 904-825-1037 or send an email to utilitybilling@citystaug.com. Payments can be made online by visiting https://www.citystaug.com/453/Customer-Service.
  •  Parking: The parking office, located at 50 Bridge St., will continue to serve the public by taking payments and answering questions via email and over the phone.  Contact the Parking Department at 904-825-1034 or send an email to parking@citystaug.com.
  • Planning & Building: The Planning & Building office, located at 75 King St., Lobby B, will continue to serve the public by taking payments, accepting plans and answering questions via email and over the phone.  Contact the Planning and Building Department at 904-825-1065 or send an email to buildingpermits@citystaug.com.
  • Public Works: The Public Works office, located at 75 King St., Lobby B, will continue to serve the public by taking payments, accepting plans and answering questions via email and over the phone.  Contact Public Works at 904-825-1040 or send an email to publicworks@citystaug.com.
  • Utilities: The Utilities Department office, located at 75 King St., Lobby B, will continue to serve the public by taking payments, accepting plans and answering questions via email and over the phone.  Contact the Utilities Department at 904-825-1040 or send an email to utilconnect@citystaug.com.
  • City Clerk: The City Clerk’s office, located at 75 King St., Lobby B, will continue to serve the public by answering questions via email and over the phone.  Contact the City Clerk’s office at 904-825-1007 or send an email to cityclerk@citystaug.com.  Public records requests will be accepted by phone or via email at recordsrequest@citystaug.com.
  • Human Resources: The Human Resources office, located at 75 King St., Lobby D, will continue to serve the public by answering questions via email and over the phone.  We are currently accepting applications for positions posted on the city website at www.CityStAug.com via electronic submittal, regular mail, or fax at 904-825-1008.  We will not accept applications in person.  Contact Human Resources at 904-825-1013 or send an email to apply@citystaug.com.
  • City Attorney: The City Attorney’s office located at 75 King St., Lobby A, will continue to serve the public by answering questions via email and over the phone.  Contact the City Attorney at 904-825-1052 or send an email to attorney@citystaug.com.
  • City Manager: The City Manager’s office located at 75 King St., Lobby A, will continue to serve the public by answering questions via email and over the phone.  Contact the City Manager’s office at 904-825-1006 or send an email to citymanager@citystaug.com.
  • Purchasing: The Purchasing office located at 75 King St., Lobby D, will continue to serve the public by answering questions via email and over the phone.  Contact Purchasing at 904-825-1020 or send an email to purchasing@citystaug.com.
  • Events and Venue Rental: The Events and Venue Coordinator will continue to process payments through the mail and answer questions via email and over the phone.  Contact the office at 904-825-1004 or send an email to events@citystaug.com.
  • Municipal Marina: The marina will continue operating under normal business hours, including the fuel dock and marina office.  Contact the Marina Office at 904.825.1026 or send an email to mates@citystaug.com.

Parking in and around Downtown St. Augustine will not be affected. Usual parking fees still apply.

The Visitor Information Center will remain open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. seven days a week.

Solid Waste collection services, including residential and commercial trash, recycling, and yard debris, remain on their regular collection schedule.
