22-Year-Old Duval Man Among The Latest COVID-19 Casualties

A 22-year-old Duval County man is among the 100 new coronavirus deaths the state of Florida reported Friday.

Florida has seen 11,750 deaths attributed to the virus.

The 22-year-old’s death is the only one recorded in Northeast Florida since Thursday.

More than 200 people remain hospitalized in Duval County with a primary diagnosis of coronavirus, along with nearly 40 in Clay County, 30 in Baker County, nine in St. Johns County, seven in Nassau County and four in Putnam County.

Statewide, 6% of all coronavirus patients have needed to be hospitalized.

Florida’s daily rate of positive test results remained below 10% for the 23rd day in a row on Friday.
