Thousands In Duval County Have Already Cast Votes In November General Election

Note: The final day to register to vote in the Nov. 3 General Election is Monday, Oct. 5.

While some Duval County voters may have watched Tuesday night’s presidential debate to help them decide how to vote, more than 3,000 voters in the county have already cast their ballots.

The Duval County Supervisor of Elections reports, as of Tuesday morning, 3,142 ballots have been cast.

The county has received 7,945 military vote-by-mail requests and 136,654 vote-by-mail requests.

The deadline to request a ballot to be mailed in Duval County is 5 p.m. on Oct. 24. Early in-person voting is set to run from Oct. 19 through Nov. 1 at 20 locations throughout the county.

Democrats, so far, are outpacing Republicans in voter turnout. As of Wednesday morning, Democrats had cast 1,358 votes while Republicans cast 742 votes.

So far, just over a half-percent of Duval County’s 655,308 registered voters have cast their ballots.

Democrats hold the edge in the number of registered Duval Cunty voters with 272,499, while there are currently 233,973 registered Republican voters.
