City Council President Tommy Hazouri has announced Tuesday's City Council meeting has been canceled due to "the health and safety concerns of COVID-19."
Scott Wilson, an outgoing member of the Jacksonville City Council, has tested positive for the coronavirus, WJCT News partner News4Jax learned Monday.
The District 4 councilman told News4Jax that he found out the results of the test on Monday. Wilson said he has some nasal congestion but no other symptoms.

“I stayed home all weekend in quarantine just to be sure and this morning they called me back and said it was positive,” Wilson said. “I was shocked because I have no other symptoms. I don’t have a fever, shortness of breath, no loss of taste.”
Wilson was at an in-person council meeting last week.
