Guests will be on "island time" as soon as they arrive at the Margaritaville Beach Hotel in Jacksonville Beach.WJCT News partner The Florida Times-Union reports the hotel is opening Tuesday, Jan. 26, at least a month ahead of schedule despite some COVID-19 pandemic slowdowns regarding supplies and permits.
The beachfront resort hotel at 715 1st St. N. boasts 202 guest rooms and suites as well as the two-story LandShark Bar & Grill, and cost an estimated $50 million to build, according to the Times-Union.
Other luxury amenities include a ground-level pool with boardwalk access, a fitness center, outdoor dining, fire pits and meeting space. In addition, there is ground-floor retail space and more than 200 parking spaces.
"Location is one of our biggest amenities," Kristin Delgado, hotel general manager, told the Times-Union on Monday as final preparations were underway to welcome guests.
