Staples intends to close July 23 at St. Johns Town Center and Marshalls is looking at leasing the space for a clothing and merchandise retail store.
Marshalls intends to occupy the space, a city building permit application shows, according to WJCT News partner the Jacksonville Daily Record.
Staples, a national office supplies and services retailer, posted signs on its windows about its clearance sale of 75% off in-store purchases and the July 23 closing. Posted hours are 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
The copy and print center is closed. Staples directs customers to stores at 5800 Beach Blvd. near University Boulevard South; 11111 San Jose Blvd. in Mandarin; and 4016 S. Third St. at Jacksonville Beach. It also has stores in Orange Park, St. Augustine and Fernandina Beach.
