Another event is being postponed due to concerns about the local COVID-19 surge and the delta variant. The American Lung Association in Florida announced Wednesday that the Jacksonville Lung Force Run/Walk, originally scheduled for this Saturday, August 21, at The Haskell Company, is being postponed.
“The Lung Association's top priority is the health and well-being of our participants, volunteers and staff,” said Bethany Webb, development manager for the Lung Association, in an email to WJCT News.
The organization said event participants will be notified in the coming weeks with rescheduling updates.
A new date hasn't been announced but the organization's website indicates the month of October is being considered.
