Gasoline isn't exactly cheap, but prices continue to fall.
According to the AAA auto club, the average price of regular unleaded in Florida is around $4.07 a gallon — 10 cents lower than last week.
Analysts credit falling crude oil prices and promises from the U.S. and the International Energy Agency to tap into their petroleum reserves to the tune of 1.3 million barrels a day.
The most expensive gas in the state continues to be in South Florida, while the Panhandle still boasts the lowest prices.
In the Jacksonville metro area, regular unleaded ranges from a high of $4.12 a gallon in Nassau to a low of around $3.96 a gallon in Baker and Clay. Gas is a little more than $4 a gallon in Duval ($4.02), Putnam ($4.09) and St Johns counties ($4.07).
The average price of regular unleaded in Georgia starts the week at 3.76 a gallon, a dime less than last week.
