Jacksonville University women's track and cross country coach Ron Grigg has resigned, according to a vague statement issued Saturday by athletic director Alex Ricker-Gilbert citing "concerning information shared online" about Grigg's treatment of student-athletes.
Grigg has been the director of women's track and field and cross country at JU since 2002 and also was the director of men's cross country.
In his statement, Ricker-Gilbert said posts and comments shared online by past and present JU track and cross country student-athletes "have been difficult to read, and they have deeply impacted me and our Dolphin family."
