ANDREW HARNIK / ASSOCIATED PRESS FILE PHOTO

On Friday's program, we got an update on Hurricane Isaias from Ray Hawthorne, who is a meteorologist with the Florida Public Radio Emergency Network (FPREN).

We also took a closer look at efforts to extend the temporary federal unemployment benefits for Florida residents with U.S. Representative Donna Shalala.

We discussed Gov. Ron DeSantis’ extension of a moratorium to stop evictions and mortgage foreclosures with two representatives from the Legal Aid Society of the Orange County Bar Association, Inc. Larri Thatcher is the Orange County society's deputy and pro bono director, while Camilo Parra is a housing attorney with the society.
