On Friday's program, we took a closer look at where things stand with the state’s supply of COVID-19 vaccines - as well as the latest on its distribution efforts - with Ben Conarck, who covers health care for the Miami Herald and Stephanie Colombini, who reports on health care news for WUSF in Tampa.

Long-Term Care Facilities and the COVID-19 Vaccine

We also got an update on the state’s COVID-19 vaccination efforts in long-term care facilities from Veronica Catoe, who is CEO of the Florida Assisted Living Association.

White House Coronavirus Task Force Report

The last report of the White House Coronavirus Task Force under former President Donald Trump was made public this week. It recommended that Florida shut down bars, restaurants and gyms where mask wearing isn’t being enforced 100 percent of the time, noting that those kinds of businesses remain big vectors of the coronavirus.

We closed out the program with a closer look at the report – and lawmakers reactions to it – with State Rep. Tom Leek of Ormond Beach, who also chairs the Florida House Committee on Pandemics and Public Emergencies.
