National Cancer Study Seeking Local Participants Hoping To Move Closer To A Cure

According to the latest figures, nearly 14 million Americans are living with cancer, including about 1 million here in Florida.

The American Cancer Society's latest long-term study on the disease is seeking Jacksonville volunteers.

If you sign up, you'll make at least a 20 year commitment to be part of the study pool.

It could lead to significant findings about the causes of cancer, including genetics, environment and lifestyle factors.

"This could result in a real cancer breakthrough," said volunteer Cynthia Farah.
