JSO: Check Surveillance Tapes For Ebron’s Car

Jacksonville police are asking people to check their surveillance footage that could contain clues in the disappearance of 1-year-old Lonzie Barton.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office says the public can help provide clues to piece a case together.

Investigation Chief Tom Hackney says if someone provides JSO with information leading to the baby’s body, Crime Stoppers will give them a $4,000 reward.

Hackney said, “Honestly at this point in time to put this at a resolution, that piece of this puzzle, I just need to find Lonzie’s body.”

Lonzie was reported missing early Friday morning by his mother’s boyfriend, William Ruben Ebron.

Investigators say they need help figuring out where Ebron’s car was between 7 p.m. Thursday and 2:20 a.m. Friday when Ebron called police. Hackney asks people from the Southside to the Northside to check any surveillance footage they have access to.

Ebron’s car is an orange 1995 Honda Civic with a black hood. The left license plate light was out, and he has blue, round LED lights next to the headlights.
