Jacksonville Sheriff Mike Williams said Monday afternoon that the suspected gunman behind Sunday's fatal mass shooting at The Jacksonville Landing carried in two hand guns and extra ammunition.
"As bad as this is, it could have been worse," said Williams in describing the events that resulted in three killed, including the gunman, who took his own life.
Twelve people were shot and one more suffered an injury in the chaos. Ten have been treated at area hospitals and all are expected to recover from their injuries.
Williams reiterated that David Katz, 24, of Baltimore, Maryland, is the lone suspect in Sunday's deadly mass shooting.

The handguns - a .45 caliber and 9mm - were purchased legally recently in Maryland by Katz from a licensed dealer, according to Williams.
Williams said investigators believe Katz shot only one gun during the incident, targeting other gamers, and walking past patrons in the restaurant.
The gun had an aftermarket laser sight attached to it, according to Williams.
The motive for the mass shooting remains under investigation and the FBI in Baltimore is also continuing to investigate.
Williams said Katz's car and hotel room in Jacksonville has been searched and a complete processing of the crime scene is expected be completed by Tuesday morning.
The FBI stressed Monday afternoon that Katz's parents have been fully cooperative with the investigation.
