Florida COVID-19 Cases Exceed 19,300; 10 New Cases Reported In Duval

The number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Florida increased Sunday morning to 19,347, up 361 cases from Saturday evening, according to the Florida Department of Health.

Six additional deaths were reported overnight, bringing the total statewide to 452.

As of 10 a.m. Sunday, there were 1,345 reported cases of the coronavirus in Northeast Florida.

There were 639 confirmed cases in Duval County (up 10 cases from Saturday night), 177 cases in Alachua County (up three cases), 162 cases in Clay County (up one case), 29 cases in Bradford County (up five cases) and 35 cases in Putnam County (up one case).

In St. Johns County, there were still 170 reported cases, while there were 17 cases in Baker County, 25 cases in Columbia County, 46 cases in Flagler County, 33 cases in Nassau County and 2 cases in Union County.

There have been 27 deaths in Northeast Florida: 13 in Duval County, eight in Clay County, two in St. Johns County, two in Baker County, one in Putnam County and one in Flagler County.

The highest concentration of infections remains in South Florida, with the epicenter focused on Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties.
