President Joe Biden is scheduled to address the nation at 2:45 p.m. after the U.S. completed its withdrawal from Afghanistan, ending America's longest war. The president's address was originally scheduled for 1:30 p.m. The 2:45 p.m. start time is also subject to change at the president's discretion.
More than 123,000 civilians were flown out by the U.S. and its partners as part of the evacuation efforts, and all U.S. service members are now out of the country.
We will stream the president's address as soon as it begins. The latest story coverage is available on our national/world news page.
