
Jamie Jackson
ReporterJamie is an award-winning, Emmy nominated broadcast journalist who serves as a host and reporter for WJCT Public Media.
He began his broadcast career in television in high school as a reporter trainee at WPXI Channel 11, the NBC affiliate in Pittsburgh. He went on to work as a television news anchor, reporter, producer and radio host for CBS, NBC, ABC, PBS, TBN and NPR affiliates in Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, Kansas, Florida and Indiana.
For several years in high school and college, he worked as a columnist for The Pittsburgh Courier, a historic African American newspaper in Pennsylvania. Jamie also worked as a communications director and press secretary in the U.S. House of Representatives. He currently serves as host of “Just In With Jamie Jackson” for American Urban Radio Networks and previously covered the White House for AURN as a correspondent.
Jamie’s work has been met with recognition and awards from several organizations including, the Indiana Broadcast Association, the NAACP, the Virginia Farm Bureau and the National Capital Chesapeake Bay Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. He has volunteered for several charities including United Way, the Hanna Community Center, Read to Succeed and Habitat for Humanity.
Jamie holds a bachelor's degree in justice studies and been a guest lecturer at West Chester University and Wheaton College.
He’s the CEO of The Jackson Dream Homes Team, a real estate company based in Jacksonville.
