The Duval County School Board is again asking voters to pitch in for public schools. Board members voted 6 to 1 Tuesday to put a property tax increase on voters' August ballot. The vote comes two months after a half-cent sales tax for school infrastructure took effect. Superintendent Diana Greene says the district is restricted in how it can use the sales tax funds, only for capital projects.

Interfaith prayer service for Ukraine
This weekend, St. Paul's By-the-Sea Episcopal Parish is hosting a communitywide prayer service for peace in Ukraine. The interfaith service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul's by-the-Sea Episcopal Church, 465 11th Ave. in Jacksonville Beach.
