  • The Twitter account Libs of Tik Tok regularly misconstrues the positions and statements of advocates for causes like LGBTQ advancement and racial equality, such as by misgendering transgender people and maligning civil rights protesters as criminals.
  • A week after rejecting dozens of proposed math textbooks for Florida students, the state Board of Education provided some examples of what it says are lessons that do not meet Florida standards.
  • An inmate at the Duval County Jail, set to be released after a plea deal for a misdemeanor trespassing charge, died one week after being subdued by several officers and given a powerful sedative.
  • Downtown Investment Authority CEO Lori Boyer said the city has received one bid in its search for a private developer to build a mid-rise or high-rise tower next to a planned 7-acre park at the former Jacksonville Landing site.
