What the infrastructure bill means for Florida; Public schools adjust mask mandates

Road illuminated at night

Billions of dollars for roads, bridges and Internet broadband are headed to Florida over the next five years following the passage of a massive federal infrastructure bill. The trillion-dollar-plus spending plan earmarks money for a list of projects including transportation, public transit, electric vehicle charging stations, clean water projects and more. The bill garnered some bipartisan support in Congress, but not among Florida’s Congressional delegation. Florida Democrats voted for the bill while Republicans opposed it.
