April 28 The Final Day To Get 1st Dose Of Pfizer Vaccine Through St. John County

Wednesday, April 28, is the last day St. Johns County will offer first doses of the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine at the Solomon Calhoun Community Center on Duval Street.

Pfizer is the only vaccine currently approved for people as young as 16.

Anyone interested in getting their first shot is urged to sign-up ahead of time

Walk-up COVID-19 vaccinations will also be available on April 28 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Those who pre register will get a phone call ahead of time with an assigned time to receive their vaccination on the 28th.

Identification and proof of Florida residency are required at the vaccination site.

People younger than 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

The community center will continue providing second doses until everyone with an appointment has received theirs.
